Why Owl’s Hoot?
Why ‘owls hoot’? you might ask. The land of the owls’ hoot is the Native American Indian translation for Coxsackie, our little town on the Hudson River waterfront rich in history of the past. Just a little over 2 hours from NYC but only minutes to popular destinations like Hudson and Catskill. And hiking, biking and kayaking.
We’ve retained and combined the rich heritage of a historic 1800’s barn with a boutique complex of smaller barns to provide a unique atmosphere for your event, wedding or corporate retreat. Surrounded by lands filled with beautiful wildflowers and a winding creek lined with willow trees, the barn can host up to 180 of your friends and family for dancing and dining, and the attached pavilion is a great space for a cocktail hour or a useful backup for an outdoor event on a rainy day.
